Cluny-ISEIT is one of the first university centres in Spain to offer degrees in the field of Translation and Interpretation.  It was founded in 1956 and belongs to the Faculty of Letters of the Catholic University of Paris.

Cluny-ISEIT is recognized by the Department of Education of the Autonomous Community of Madrid as a foreign University authorized to impart higher education and award university degrees. These are recognized in Spain in accordance with article 19.2 of the Royal Decree 557/1991 (Official State Gazette of 20^th April).

Cluny-ISEIT is a member of the Spanish Conference of Institutions and Departments of Translation and Interpreting.
